My name is Han Piggott; I am a professionally qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Would you benefit from a calm space, a chance to stop and take a breath, a place to explore your thoughts and feelings? Where you can tell your story, a place where you will be heard, accepted and understood.
My aim is to develop a relationship of trust and empathy. I will encourage you to talk about your concerns and any difficult feelings, through this process you may uncover the underlying cause and identify specific ways of thinking. Counselling can be helpful in developing a deeper awareness of ourselves and our relationships with others, past and present. We can work together to understand the meaning behind painful emotions and unhelpful patterns of behaviour.
The way in which I work is person centred, this means I can help you explore and utilise your inner strength and personal identity. To help you recognise your own capacity for self-healing and personal growth. My approach is integrative, drawing mainly on humanistic and existential theories, motivational interviewing and brief solution focused therapy. This approach means I tailor my skills to a person’s individual needs and personal circumstances. Through this approach I will consider you as a whole and help you explore aspects of your inner world: personal relationships and social environment as well as you values and beliefs. With the aim of helping you face each moment more openly and authentically.
